Shinobi Rulebook
Community Conduct
1. DO NOT BE AN ASS. If you follow no other rules, please follow this one. Please. If you have an issue with another member, bring it to me first. Bullying for any reason is completely unnecessary and will not be tolerated. Ever.
2. Please keep the content PG-13, and warn for anything that could be triggering. I don't expect this to come up, but if it does, I will not have any of you flailing around going 'But she never said we had to warn for xyz...' As the rating would imply, you must be thirteen or older to join this community.
3. Three strikes, yer' out. Break a rule and I will give you a notice and a chance to correct it. Break a second rule and I will give you a warning. Break a third rule and you will be banned from the community for two weeks. If you have already been banned once and you break a rule, I will give you a warning for the first violation and ban you from the community for one month for the second. If you have been banned twice, the first violation will earn you a ban of one month. After three bans, any subsequent violations will earn you permanent banning from the community. I will judge this on a case by case basis and all infractions will be dealt with privately, between me and the rule-breaker in question. Bullying of another user will result in an immediate, permanent ban.
4. It is your responsibility to keep up-to-date on the rules. I will notify when there's been a major change, but breaking a rule because you didn't know it was there is not going to fly. Feel free to PM me if you want anything clarified, and if you have a concern or a question, please contact me before your submission/vote/etc. I promise to be fair, reasonable and compassionate in all matters involving the userbase. Use the phrase (Kurama smash) on your initial application somewhere, or your app will not be approved for posting.
Application Guidelines
1. You must be stamped with the General Character Application before you can apply for any other themes. The General Character Application is always active. The code can be found HERE:
2. Vote on at least one** application before submitting your own. Linking to a vote will be a requirement in any and every theme. I will check. Don't cheat and vote on someone who's already been stamped, 'cause that's not cool. If there are no unstamped applications at the time of your submission, link to the official stamp comment on a recent application.
3. Please screen comments on your application. While keeping them visible isn't a crime against humanity, it greatly reduces the chance of you getting accurate, unbiased votes. It's within human nature to agree with the majority; it doesn't mean I think you're stupid or a jerk. I just want everyone to get the best and most accurate experience possible from this community.
4. Put your application behind a cut. Stretching reading pages is not nice on the eyes, and it makes it difficult to scroll through the active applications in the community. I will add the code for this into the handy text boxes that will go up with each new theme.
5. Re-stamps are permitted! If you feel your stamping was inaccurate or you don't like it for any reason, you may re-submit your application for a second try. Please include the result you got and why you think it isn't a match so you don't get restamped as the character you don't want!
6. All applications will be stamped seven days after posting. Applications with less than three** votes or with ties will be marked with an !extended tag. Please look through the tag before voting and give these entries priority, as it means the applicant has been waiting more than a week for a decision. Extended applications will be stamped as soon as a majority vote is reached.
7. Keep a copy of your application. Just in case anything goes pear-shaped.
8. The code for the current active theme will always be available in the profile of the community. There is also be an archive post containing all past themes.
**Note that these numbers will be increasing once the community gets off the ground. Please familiarize yourself with the current number of required votes before applying.
